AddThis is the easiest, most popular sharing tool in the world. And yes, you can put it on your WordPress.com blog with minimal effort. Here is what you need to do:

  1. Go to the official AddThis website.
  2. Select WordPress as the service and configure the other options, according to your preferences.

  3. Select one of the first two button styles.
  4. Click Get Your Button.
  5. On the next page, scroll down to WordPress.com Sidebar Button Instructions. Copy the code in the text box.

  6. Paste the code into a sidebar Text Widget.  You will get the Add This button, appropriately linked for your visitors to enjoy.

Note: You can also add the button to individual posts on your blog, which will enable readers to share specific content/articles. To do this, simply paste the code that you obtained from step #5 above into the HTML view of your editor. For help with switching to the HTML view, please check here.
