If you would like to add a link in your sidebar but don’t know how to write HTML code, the easiest way is to start a new post (make sure it is empty) and use the Visual editor to create your link.
After you create the link, switch from the Visual editor to the HTML editor.

If your post was empty when you started, the only HTML code in the editor should be for your link. If it’s a simple text link it would look similar to:

If you use an image as the link, it should look similar to:

Copy all of the HTML code in the editor and paste it into a Text Widget.
