The Categories module is used to set the categories for your post. Categories are displayed on the single post view on the blog and in some of the widgets in the sidebars. Your post(s) will also appear in the global tag listings of any categories you use.
You can set the module to show All Categories (slower) or the Most Used categories by clicking the appropriate link on the left side of the module. Select the checkbox next to a category name to associate it with a post or uncheck boxes to remove an association. If you would like to add a new category to your blog and associate it with the post, click + Add New Category.
Fill in the new category name and set a parent if you wish.
