Slideshows
A slideshow will display a set of images attached to a particular post or page. If you upload images using the Add an Image button while editing/creating the post or page, they will be attached automatically. If you upload images directly to the media library from Media -> Add New, you will need to attach them to a post or page before they will appear in a slideshow.
Adding a slideshow
- Open a post or page for editing.
If it is a new post or page, make sure to add a title and save it at least once before trying to insert a gallery. - Click the Add an image button.

- Select files to upload and then click the Save all changes button. You should be taken to the Gallery tab next.

- Click Insert Slideshow.

If you already have photos attached to a published post or page and would like to go back an add a slideshow you can do so by:
- Open the post or page for editing.
- Place the cursor where the slideshow will be.
- Type [slideshow]
- Click Update to publish the changes.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I exclude certain images from a slideshow?
No. Currently the slideshow will only display all photos attached to a post. If you’d like to exclude certain photos you may be interested in using the gallery feature instead.
How do I adjust the size of a slideshow?
Slideshows are set to fill up the full content width of your theme. Resizing them is not currently possible but if you try different themes you will find that the size of slideshows varies.
What do the slideshows look like?
Good question. Here’s an example:
This slideshow requires JavaScript.
What happened to the old slideshow options? Can I still use those?
You can still use SlideShare, check out this support doc for more information.
Note that if you use a different slideshow service, you may still be able to embed it using VodPod.
