If you want to type transliterated words in languages like Arabic, Bengali, Gujarati, Hindi, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Nepali, Persian, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu or Urdu, there are a few useful tools available from Google.
Google Transliteration bookmarklets
Transliteration bookmarklets give you quick access to the tools you need. They will work with any text box on any site, including the WordPress.com visual and Text editors.

Typing in Hindi using Google Transliteration Bookmarklet
If you’re working with several different languages, you’ll need a bookmarklet for each one.
Google Transliteration Editor
If you switch between multiple languages or you’re away from your own browser, just visit the Google Transliteration form.

If you use the visual editor there to tweak the text style, please remember to use the Paste from Word button to keep what you see.

Google Transliteration IME
If you are on Windows (XP or later), you can install Google Transliteration Google Input Method (IME) too. Use this with your browser, or try one of offline blogging tools while you’re off the grid.
