The Vodpod Videos Widget is a great way to display image-based links to your favorite videos from around the web in your sidebar. It shows up to 3 of the videos you’ve most recently added to Vodpod.
Here’s an example of what the widget looks like:
Activating the Vodpod Videos Widget
First, sign up for Vodpod. Then click Add Video near the top of the screen.
Next, enter the embed code of the video you want to share.
Click Yes, this is the video.
Give the video a title. Add tags or comments if you like, then click Save. Once you see the success message, click Visit My Account.
On the main navigation menu, click Sharing.
On the next page, click Get a Widget under “Share On Your Blog”.
From the dropdown menu near the bottom, choose the style of your widget. Some styles allow you to show links to multiple videos at once. Then copy the code.
Head back to your blog dashboard and add the Vodpod Videos Widget to your sidebar by accessing Appearance -> Widgets.
Paste the code into the the Short Code area. Check the box by Enable Widescreen Player if you want to give readers the option to watch your videos in widescreen mode. When you’re done, click Save.
Now you’re latest Vodpod videos will be displayed in your blog’s sidebar!
