Pages »Page Visibility

In the page editor, click on the Status module in the sidebar to view the page’s Visibility settings. You can set the visibility to public, private, or password protected.

Watch the video below for a quick overview of how it works, and read below for more examples and settings.

Page Visibility options

Set the page visibility

  • Public – The page will be visible to everyone.
  • Private – Pages are only visible to blog Editors and Administrators. Private pages are not visible in the Reader, feeds, or in any search. A page can be private without being password protected.
  • Protected – The page will be protected with a password you choose. Only those with the password can view this page. (Note: Passwords for protected pages will be saved as a cookie until you exit your browser. For maximum security, it is recommended to close the browser completely once you are finished looking at a password protected page, especially on shared devices.)

Private Blog

If you’d like to make your entire blog private, you’ll need to adjust your Privacy Settings.
